
1. All video submissions should be one (1) minute or less in length. Video may be a cappella, with a track or with live accompaniment. If a track is used, no background vocals are allowed (this applies to submission video and finals performances).
2. Videos may be attached to email as a .mp4 or .mpv file. Videos may also be submitted via Instagram or YouTube link. If done via social media, please ensure that your profile is public and that you include a link to the video in an email to thefactorcontest@gmail.com as well as using the hashtag #TheFactorContest
3. All acts selected as finalists will be randomly drawn for performance order to ensure fairness.
4. Finalists will be determined by combining the judges' individual scores. The twenty (20) acts with the top scores will advance to the finals. In the event of an exact tie, both acts will advance.
5. ALL performers who submitted a video will receive their judges' scores as well as the detailed feedback from each judge. The goal is for all performers to use this feedback from industry professionals to continuously improve.
6. Any contestant who has been awarded 1st Place is no longer eligible to compete in that division in the future. For example, if John Smith won 1st Place in the Junior Division at age 10, he would not be eligible to re-compete until he turned 15 and entered the Senior Division.
